Ben Nevis Trip Overview
Despite being just one Mammoth on the ladder of our exploration scale, Ben Nevis is, at 1,345 m (4,412 ft), the UK’s highest mountain. Located at the western point of Lochaber’s Grampian Mountains, The Ben features the ruins of an 1900s observatory, as well as 600 m (2,000 ft) high cliff faces, which have long been popular with rock and ice climbers.
Whatever your physical condition, the members of our team working with you on your bespoke training package will do everything to ensure you’re prepared for the climb, whatever your level of experience, and however far away you think you might be physically from the reality of climbing a mountain. Our job is to take into account the physical challenges you’ll be facing, and address them with some conventional, and more unconventional training practices.
This trip is spread over ___ days, will be around ___ hours walking each day, and a full kit list will be provided, to make sure that you are full prepared for the full gamut of possible weather conditions that can be experienced in the journey to a mountain top!
Ben Nevis is a straightforward, but strenuous walk, and your mountain leaders will be there to support you every step. You’ll experience incredible 360 views of the Scottish Highlands, and if this is your chosen first one Mammoth microadventure experience, you’ll get a taste of what it might be like to go higher and further. Our expedition leaders are there to answer any questions you have about how this could be a good learning experience and warm up for a bigger challenge.
