What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

We operate contact forms on this website to allow visitors to contact us via email. When a form is submitted, visitors are requested to confirm they understand their personal data, including name, email address and any information provided within the message. If you do not want us to use your information for contacting you, do not use our contact forms.

No information is stored on this website when contact forms are submitted. However, we may store personal information on our own email systems.

At the time of submission of a contact form, visitors are asked if they would like to opt-in to receive news and information about events and offers via our newsletter system. We use Mailchimp to connect to our subscribers and abide by their own terms and conditions and privacy policy.

 

Event Bookings

When visitors make a booking on this website, they are requested to provide personal information, which we store for up to a year and use to manage our events as well as improve our services. 

When orders are made, personal information is also used to process debit and credit card orders with our service providers. We store that information for the minimum legal required time, currently 7 years, to maintain our financial records.

We do not store credit or debit card details on this website.

We also use web security products to protect our website from cyber threats, in some instances we retain IP addresses in logs and block addresses known to be malicious or having displayed malicious behaviour. We may block offending IP addresses for an indeterminate period of time, and we may share those details with other cyber security providers.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We may share booking and attendee information with our own staff and/or external contractors for the purposes of managing the booking and delivery events. 

We do not share personal data with 3rd parties for promotional purposes.

User date, in database form is stored on our webserver and remotely in encrypted backups.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If users opt in to marketing communications, we retain their submitted information indefinitely. Otherwise we retain order information inline with government legislation.

We may retain submitted data in the form of emails for an indeterminate period of time.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
